 Chablis only produces white wine with Chardonnay grape varieties. This is the place for the best bottles of white wine Chardonnay in the world.


 

Chablis has a cool climate, so white wine here is more acidic and has less fruit flavor than Chardonnay wine grown in warmer climates.



At Chablis, there are 4 different rankings for Vang rank, as follows:
- Lowest level: Petit Chablis AOP
- Next level: Chablis AOP
- Next level: Premier Cru Chablis AOP (40 climats or "named plots")
- Highest level: Grand Crus Chablis AOP (7 climats)
